About This Page

This page provides real-time NYSE market status, including whether the stock market is open right now, what session phase is currently active, and when the next market open occurs. It's updated every 10 seconds using Eastern Time calculations.

The holiday calendar covers all NYSE closures and early-close days from 2025 through 2028, sourced from official NYSE and SIFMA published schedules. Early-close days (typically before major holidays) see the market close at 1:00 PM ET instead of the normal 4:00 PM ET.

For SPX 0DTE options traders, knowing the market phase is critical. SPXXL's session classification engine identifies the expected session type (Balanced, Trend, Expansion, Short Covering, Liquidity Sweep, or Volatility Compression) before the market opens, giving traders a pre-built playbook for the day.
