Three Words For When Life Corners You
There is a moment everyone recognizes. The job goes away. The bill lands. Someone at the cookout asks what your backup plan is. Life leans in to trap you — and the person who has done the work just grins and says three words: “I Got Options™.”
It is a double meaning, and both halves are true. One is the financial instrument — the actual contract. The other is the everyday feeling of not being cornered, because you built a skill before you ever needed it. The $100 a Day Challenge is the FREE, five-day, rules-published on-ramp that teaches both: how to read the SPX day and play one defined-risk trade toward a $100 target.
The line isn’t bravado. It’s what’s left over after you quietly learned to do something that nobody can take away from you.
The Dream Isn’t $100 — It’s Not Being Cornered
“I Got Options™” is what a person says when life tries to trap them — and it fails. Losing the job. The bill. The comeback. The question at the cookout. Every one is the same moment: someone was about to be stuck, and they weren’t.
The $100 a day is the proof and the interval — not the point. The point is having a way to make money that nobody can take away from you, because you learned it before you ever needed it. The number is small on purpose: it is a masterable bar with published rules, not a paycheck and not a projection.
The line I never cross: optionality is built before a crisis, never funded by it. This is never money you need for a bill, and it is never a way to trade out of trouble today. The grin is retrospective — “I’m glad I learned this before I needed it.”
Five Ways To Say It
The line was made for five kinds of moments. Wry, defiant, grin-and-shrug — never desperate, never smug. The speaker already did the work.
The Corner
Life closes a door. The line is the refusal to be trapped.
“Ninety days is plenty. I Got Options™.”
The Refusal
Nobody’s collapsing. Somebody wants them to accept less — and they don’t have to.
“Keep the promotion. I Got Options™.”
The Question
Someone asks. The line is the whole answer.
“What’s your backup plan?” — “That’s the thing. I Got Options™.”
The Late Start
Somebody’s been told it’s too late, or not for them. It is, and it isn’t.
“I was never a numbers person” — “Neither was I. I Got Options™.”
The Right, Not the Obligation
An option is literally the right without the obligation — and so is a person with choices.
“The best trade today was none. I Got Options™.”
Family E is the one the whole thing is built around. An option is, by definition, a right without an obligation — and so is a person with choices. Sometimes the most powerful version of the line is the day you don’t trade at all.
How The FREE 5-Day Challenge Works
Five days. One idea a day. A $100 target you can actually master. The target has published rules — that is exactly what makes it a challenge and not a promise: one contract, a $100–$400 defined stake, the $5 strike width, and four products. No qualifying trade means no trade that day.
Watch the daily short video
One idea a day — the hook and the single concept that matters for today’s session. Learning is paced, never dumped.
Read the daily email
The written version: the day’s rules, the read, and the link to act on it. It keeps the cadence when you’re away from the app.
Play the day in Challenge Mode
The app pre-filters the live SPX 0DTE chain to the qualifying, defined-risk structures — one contract, capped cost. Hit the target on any of the five days.
There is nothing to pay to enter. The only ask is the existing five-day Elite trial: five full trading days of Elite access. No card. Nothing to cancel.
Four Defined-Risk Structures, One Contract Each
Every trade in the Challenge is one of four debit structures, and every one is bought as a net debit. The price you pay is the most you can lose — shown on the confirmation screen before you ever place it.
A right to profit if SPX rises — direction up.
A right to profit if SPX falls — direction down.
A defined-risk range play for a quiet, contained day.
A precision structure that pays when SPX pins a level.
Why It’s Always 5-Wide — The $100 / $400 Math
Every structure in the Challenge is 5-wide: a $5-wide vertical, or $5 wings on a Condor or Butterfly. That is not a stylistic choice — it is what keeps the arithmetic identical and simple on every single trade.
Here is the whole thing. The SPX contract multiplier is always ×100, so 1 point = $100 per contract. A $5-wide structure can therefore only ever be worth five points — $500 — at expiration. That single fact locks the house numbers as two ends of one ticket:
$500
The most a 5-wide structure can ever be worth (5 pts × $100)
$400
House ceiling on what you pay — the maximum debit
$100
Minimum profit that leaves ($500 − $400) — the target
Buy the 6000 Call and sell the 6005 Call and you own a 5-wide debit spread. Pay $4.00 for it — that is $400 — and if SPX closes at or above 6005 the spread settles at its full $500, leaving you $100. Any cheaper fill raises that profit point-for-point; cheaper is always better, and there is no cost floor.
The house rule, in one line.
Pay no more than $400, keep a minimum of $100 of profit potential. This $100 / $400 pair only locks on a 5-wide structure — it is mathematically false on any other width, which is exactly why I teach and build nothing else.
From “I Don’t Know What An Option Is” To Your First Trade
Four things stand between a beginner and their first defined-risk trade. Each one already has a tool built to remove it.
“I don’t understand what I’m buying”
The one-sentence definition of an option, the glossary with inline tooltips on every term, and beginner-first videos on Calls, Puts, Spreads, Condors and Butterflies.
“I don’t know what to do today”
The Engine classifies the session before the open, the Playbook matches a structure to the day, and Challenge Mode shows only the qualifying trades — sorted by cushion.
“I’m afraid of myself”
Defined risk means the debit you pay is the most you can lose. A quiet day is information, not failure — “no qualifying trade today” is a celebrated, valid move.
“I can’t get to the starting line”
Long options are exempt from the PDT rule, the whole model is built for a small defined stake, and the ThinkorSwim confirmation-screen walkthrough shows the exact fields.
Tools That Would Cost Well Over $500/mo Elsewhere
Everything you use during the Challenge is included in Elite, and open to you FREE for five full trading days. Every figure below is what a comparable tool costs on the open market — a comparison anchor, not my price.
Recurring tools alone anchor to well over $500/mo; the one-time education assets add hundreds of dollars of standalone value on top. You do not pay any of it to run the Challenge.
Hit The Target? Post The Day.
When you reach the $100 target on a Challenge day, you can make a clean, brand-locked card that shows exactly how you did it — the structure, the strikes, the defined risk beside the result, and how briefly you held it.
It is a transparency receipt for one day, not a scoreboard. Each card is one day’s challenge score with its defined risk shown beside it — never a running total, an average, a return percentage, or an account balance. That is what makes it credible, and shareable.
Say It Because You Did The Work
When they ask what your backup plan is, the best answer is a quiet one you already earned. The Challenge is how you get there: learn to read the SPX day, play one defined-risk trade toward the $100 target, and build the kind of optionality nobody can take away from you.
The market opens again tomorrow, and a new session gets classified before the bell. You do not need to force anything today. You need to keep showing up — and the Challenge gives you five full days to do exactly that, for FREE.
- $100 is a target, not a paycheck. It is the scoring unit of the challenge — a low, masterable bar with published rules. Never an expectation, an average, or implied income.
- Defined risk, every time. One contract, a $100–$400 debit. The price you pay is the most you can lose, and it is shown before you place the trade.
- Built before you need it. This is a skill you learn calmly, in advance — never money you need for a bill and never a way to trade out of trouble today.
Five full trading days of Elite access. No card. Nothing to cancel. SPX options carry a substantial risk of loss and are not suitable for every investor. “The $100 Dollars a Day Challenge” is a FREE educational challenge scored against a $100-per-day target; the target is a scoring unit, not an expectation, projection, average, or implied income, and no outcome is predicted or guaranteed. All examples are for education only and are not financial advice. Optionality is built before a crisis, never funded by it — never trade money you need for bills, rent, food, or debt.
